Vantrue P2 (Pilot 2) – Thermal Triple-Channel Dash Cam
The Vantrue P2 is the world’s first dash cam integrating thermal imaging with three-channel high-resolution video recording. It not only sees clearly front, rear, and interior— it also sees “heat,” identifying pedestrians, animals, and objects even in darkness or fog.
Equipped with Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, a dedicated thermal imaging lens, a 6.25-inch high-brightness touch display, voice control, CarPlay & Android Auto, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
Advantage
- Maintains clear visibility in the most challenging environments—nighttime, heavy rain, or remote mountain roads—identifying people, animals, and obstacles with its heat-detection capabilities.
- Records four perspectives simultaneously (front, rear, cabin, and thermal), ensuring all angles are covered: one incident equals four evidence sources.
- Supports 1TB storage + Wi-Fi 6 high-speed data transfer, enabling long recording durations and fast exports for both commuters and road travelers.
- Built-in HUD (head-up display) and fatigue alert, bringing smart cockpit functions without changing vehicles.
Benefit
- See clearly when visibility is at its worst: Detects and records sudden animal crossings at night or pedestrians appearing unexpectedly in heavy rain—protecting both the driver and others.
- One device, multiple solutions: Eliminates the need to purchase separate HUD systems or cabin cameras—fully integrated in one P2 unit.
- A friendly upgrade for older vehicles: Enhances the driving environment effortlessly, including built-in CarPlay support, without replacing the vehicle.
Evidence
- Powered by the Novatek NT98530 dual-core processor with 2.0 TOPS AI computing, delivering faster, more stable image and thermal processing.
- Utilizes Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors across all channels, outperforming 90% of mainstream dash cams in low-light performance.
- One of the very few thermal-enabled dash cams that can “see clearly and see far,” making thermal imaging truly practical for driving safety.
- Fully compatible with CarPlay / Android Auto, supporting the majority of vehicles on the market.
- OTA software upgrades ensure the P2 continues to evolve with new features.
Backed by Vantrue’s 10 years of imaging expertise with over 3 million users worldwide.
